The assessment community
Overview
Every year, around 70,000 individuals are involved annually in external examining, moderating and marking Key Stage tests, GCSEs and A-Levels. Add in teachers who mark and internally moderate coursework and conduct regular marking, informal and mock tests, report writing, parents' evenings etc, and the pool expands significantly.
That is the assessment community. And that is whom the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors has been set up to inform and support.
The DCSFThe Department for Education and Skills (DfES) was established with the aim of contributing to a competitive economy and inclusive society. |

The QCAThe QCA is responsible for developing and maintaining the national curriculum and all its associated assessments, tests and examinations. |

The NAAWorking closely with awarding bodies, schools, colleges and teachers' organisations to deliver a modern examinations system. |
