The assessment community

IEA Launch Event

Overview

Every year, around 70,000 individuals are involved annually in external examining, moderating and marking Key Stage tests, GCSEs and A-Levels. Add in teachers who mark and internally moderate coursework and conduct regular marking, informal and mock tests, report writing, parents' evenings etc, and the pool expands significantly.

That is the assessment community. And that is whom the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors has been set up to inform and support.

The DfE

The Department for Education (DfE) was formed on 12 May 2010 and is responsible for education and children's services.
