Assessment as a profession
Despite being an essential and widely respected component of the UK education system, 17% of assessors feel their specific assessment skills are overlooked by their employer and peers and 24% feel their overall professional development (including assessment) is driven individually rather than through the encouragement of their employer and the wider education community, as summarised below.
