The IEA - the voice of assessors
The IEA is the voice for assessors in the UK following its establishment in May 2006. The IEA is a professional body dedicated to supporting the needs of everyone involved in educational assessment. Members include everyone involved in assessment, from senior examiners, moderators and markers to individuals with an interest in or responsibility for assessment in primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, universities, training centres and other educational organisations. The IEA's recent research revealed that its members are confident of its ability to represent them and raise awareness of assessment as a distinct and valued profession.
