Overview
Within this section of the website you will find the CIEA Professional Framework and all its associated materials. It gives you an in-depth view of the skills and competencies associated with the Professional Framework. It allows you to analyse your own skills, to analyse the skills of those members of the team with which you work and to look for advice and guidance to support those specific skills or to improve them.

Chartered Educational AssessorThe CIEA was granted its Royal Charter by the Privy Council in 2007. This was a profoundly important event as it endorsed our objective of professionalising the process of assessment and enabled the CIEA to offer a structured world class programme of continuing professional development (CPD). Our Charter, together with the Chartered Educational Assessor (CEA) programme, puts assessment on a par with professional activities in other fields such as engineering, HR and accountancy. |
Professional development opportunities for teachersThis section of the website has been compiled in association with the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) and communicates how the CIEA operates in conjunction with this government agency in providing support and professional development opportunities in assessment to teachers |

Assessment Skills Gap AnalysisThe assessment skills gap analysis is an interactive tool that will allow you to analyse the competencies in which you are secure when working in assessment, as well as highlight any areas of development with which you may need support. At the end of the process you will be presented with a spider gram that will summarise your skills and competencies and will suggest tools, resources and training that will help you to improve your capability. |
