Step 9

This step will help you to decide how effective you are as an individual and suggest areas for CPD or personal development

Team assessment

As well as managing ones own assessment practices, the assessor needs to be part of an effectively functioning team. How this can be achieved within the institution needs to be made explicit both across the institution and within the subject area context.

This too can be set out as a grid that will allow individuals to add this to their personal grid above.

It might look something like this:

I co-operate with other team members to achieve the goals of the assessment team

at both standardisation and moderation meetings 

     
I encourage and support others to develop their competencies, as the opportunity arises      
I communicate effectively to ensure that agreed processes are fulfilled
