AfL self-evaluation tool factsheet

The Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF) has issued a single sided fact sheet relating to APP. It is an attempt to help schools to monitor their progress in embedding AfL and APP

The tool helps you to monitor your progress and plan for the next actions in embedding good practice. It helps you to review your progress and plan for the next steps in improving your performance. The tool also keeps a record of your transactions that you can share with an Ofsted Inspector or with your School Improvement Partner. You can also share the data with your Local Authority if you wish, but this is not compulsory. However, it would be helpful if the Local Authority could see your data so that an authority wide picture can be developed.
