CIEA Assessment for Learning Advice:
Within and across the Primary Curriculum - Assessing for Learning
The CIEA is pleased to announce the launch of a new Assessment for Learning (AfL) advice sheet; compiled with the Association for Achievement and Improvement through Assessment (AAIA), and published by the Council for Subject Associations (CfSA).
This advice sheet contains a wealth of AfL-specific information and advice for teachers and subject leaders, including:
- Guidance for assessment leaders for promoting the effective use of AfL
- What AfL is, and what it certainly is not
- Guidance for Class Teachers in the use of AfL - some practical suggestions
- Questions and answers (taken from an LA project) showing children's views about AfL
- News items introducing CIEA and AAIA as professional membership organisations offering high quality assessment-related help and support
