Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs)

What makes a successful SENCO?

Successful SENCOs seem to need a mix of personal qualities and skills, combined with support from inside and outside the school and, of course, an enormous capacity for hard work!

In this section of the site, we introduce selected case studies showing some very successful SENCOs. Their circumstances are very different, and they face a range of challenges, but there are some constant themes.

These themes have been added to the navigation bar on the left. Click on one of the case studies below and the navigation will open underneath the case study on the left of the page.
