The Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors has resceduled its fourth National Assessment conference.

 

The conference will be held at Mary Ward House, 5-7 Tavistock Place, London, WC1H 9SN on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd October 2010.. Link to map of venue.

The theme of the conference will be Theory into Practice and the event has been designed to support schools, colleges and employers to enable good assessment practice arising from changes to government's education policy, and the event could be the first national education platform following the General Election

Day 1 - looks at educational assessment policy and we are pleased to welcome an exceptional line up of keynote speakers:

  • Lord Stewart Sutherland, Chair of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors
  • Sue Hackman, Chief Adviser on School Standards, DfEd
  • Sir Tim Brighouse, Emeritus Professor of Education and member of Expert Group on Assessment.

Day 2 - focuses on the practical aspects of implementing educational assessment policy and we have invited practitioners to run seminars and share their experiences across:

  • Primary (APP/AfL),
  • Secondary (AfL/ APP/Diplomas)
  • Tertiary (Diplomas)
  • Work based learning and assessment

Who should attend?

The event aims to attract over 200 delegates from across education, especially those with responsibility for and an active role in educational assessment in schools, colleges, the workplace as well as the external assessment community including educational policymakers, senior managers, head teachers, heads of departments, examiners, local authority managers, assessment advisers and education consultants.
