Call for Papers

Brochure

The conference theme will be: Developing and delivering good assessment practice during times of change.

Sub-themes will include:

  • Research papers into aspects of the central theme
  • Developing good practice in the primary sector
  • Developing good practice in the secondary/FE sector
  • Developing effective e-assessment practices

Presentations

Paper presentations, using any appropriate methodology, will be the main business of the conference. A speaker, or speakers, will present a paper on their selected topic. Each speaker(s) will have approximately 45 minutes for presentation, with about 15 minutes to answer questions from the floor. Individuals can participate as one of the speakers in the seminars by submitting an abstract on a topic of the individual's choice, with the conference organisers.

Submission of Abstract

Abstracts of contributions should be of 150 - 200 words, using Word for Window font Arial size 12 with a margin of 2.5 centimetres on A4 page size. The Word file should be sent as an attachment to an e-mail to conference@ioea.org.uk

Submissions in hard copy by post will be accepted, but electronic submissions are preferred.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 1st. October 2007. The deadline for submission of abstracts is November 30th. 2007 Acceptance of submissions will depend on the seminar time available. Participants will be informed of acceptance of their abstracts before January 26th. 2008.
