The morning session looked at the process of assessment, concentrating particularly on assignment design, standardisation and moderation. The afternoon session was practical in nature. A standardisation meeting was held to consider a new paper that had recently been set. Candidate responses were circulated and the principal examiner ran through the procedure followed by the team assessing some common responses.

Scores were discussed and aligned and the information added to the Society's archive of materials with an approach agreed on how to collect and store the data that emanated from the outputs.
