Incorporation of the Institute

14th June 2005. The Institute of Educational Assessors has been incorporated as an independent legal entity at Companies House on 18th May 2005.

The incorporation marks the beginning of the life of the Institute whose role is to improve the quality of assessment by providing support, recognition and a voice for the assessment community.

Commenting on the occasion Mick Walker, interim Chairman, said. 'This is a significant day for the education and the assessment community. The incorporation of the Institute marks a ramping up of support to those involved in examining, marking and moderating of general qualifications and national tests.'
