CEA Training and Assessment event - London

Eleven participants attended the latest event in London on March 10th and 11th at the Thistle Hotel in Bloomsbury.

Applications

The CIEA team had screened the applicants who were from a wide variety of backgrounds, although the majority were Local Authority personnel. The quality of the applications was exceptionally high.

The London Event

This particular event was part of the CIEA's remit to provide a CEA for every school by 2020. This is a particularly demanding remit, but by the end of this calendar year, there should be sufficient CEAs to roll the programme out nationally and run simultaneous events in the future.

In total 11 delegates were chosen to take part in the event. The event followed the now familiar pattern of looking at the processes that lie within the Professional Framework:

  • Preparing for Assessment
  • Conducting Assessment
  • Feeding Back after Assessment
  • Managing Oneself
  • Managing Others

Since this was both a training and assessment event, the CIEA team made clear to the delegates that they would be continuously assessed, with their understanding of the Professional Framework and its application to any assessment process scrutinised in detail.

Evaluations

Delegates were asked to complete an evaluation at the end of the two days. The results of that evaluation from the London event can be found below:
