Our aim is to improve the quality of assessment in schools and colleges by working with educational assessors to develop their knowledge, understanding and capability in all aspects of educational testing and assessment.
As an independent charitable organisation we provide recognition of the crucial work carried out by individuals in the field of assessment, as well as status and professional standards for individuals and an independent 'voice' for the assessment community.
Following the Expert Group’s suggestion that every school should have access to a Chartered Educational Assessor, we are pleased to announce that applications are now open to apply for the next round of training. The next training event will take place on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd July 2009 at the Cumberland Hotel, London.

The CIEA, in partnership with NFER hosted a timely seminar at the Royal Institute of Architects on June 2nd. The seminar concerned itself with methods for ensuring the reliability of teacher assessments in a rapidly changing context of national assessments.Read more
