Formative Assessment improves Writing Skills

A new report confirms effectiveness of formative assessment: .Writing skills in the classroom can be improved by teachers providing students with regular feedback, tracking progress, and encouraging student evaluation of their own skills, according to a new report released today.

CIEA Training Courses

The CIEA is pleased to announce the offering of two courses in assessment:
General assessment skills.
Assessment Skills for Managers.
These two courses can be delivered in a single day or in a series of twighlight sessions. They can involve one institution or a number of institutions simultaneously.

Chartered Educational Assessor (CEA) training

The Chartered Educational Assessor (CEA) is the highest recognition available to those who have made a significant impact on the processes of assessment within a school, college or place of work. The next round of training will take place on 23 & 24 November and new 2011 dates have just been announced.
